The Pendants you see here have most likely sold.
But we can check our inventory to see if we might have something close, or Wendy and I do accept commissions of our work. But please remember that because each "stone" is as individual as a snowflake, the finished piece of jewelry will have it's own characteristics and shape. What you see here is just a small sampling of the types of pendants we can create. We also create earrings to emulate the pendants we sell.
Email is probably the easiest way to get a hold of us since we are on the road so much. Email also allows us to send you photos. Just give us a color or style and possibly a price range and we can send you images of what we have available at that time. Email us at vetrocaldo@aol.com

BREAKING “NEW”s
LAMINATED GLASS
Glass & Rough Stone is laminated together. After the adhesive has cured the new “Stone” is cut ground and polished into the pendants you see here.
Process:
These have got to be
the most challenging
yet exciting thing I have
worked on in years. I took a small rudimentary class in this process a few years
ago. And I have been working with my technique and trying new things until I
have created what you see here. The work is evolving and with each new piece
I am thinking of new directions I can take this. The whole process starts with a
number of optical glass sheets. The same type of glass that is used in
Waterford glass or in fine optics. This glass is used because of it’s clarity
and its high refractive behavior. Next I laminate (no this isn’t like laminating
a piece of paper) each sheet of glass with a sheet of dichroic glass in between. Once the first
gluing is done it looks like a big nasty block of glass. Once the glue has set up for a few days I
slice the block into many new sheets of glass. I then take each new sheet of glass and grind, and
grind, and grind.......until the sheets of glass are polished perfectly smooth. I then repeat the
process all over again of laminating the new sheets of glass. This is repeated numerous times
until I cut the final piece. Then the piece is ground and polished until it is ready for the silver. This process can take upwards of a month to create each piece. But it is worth it.

“Pietra di Vetro Collection”
THE HYBRID
Both the Laminated Glass and the “Pietra di Vetro Collection” have done so well and look so cool, we decided to combine them. This was the first one completed, but now we are in the process of making others. When we are at home and I actually get to work in the studio, I have to break myself away from working on these so I can get other work done, like accounting, and scheduling shows, etc. I just want to work on this stuff, it is just to much fun seeing what we can come up with next.
